RACE DESCRIPTION

The Porthkerry 5 MT is a chip-timed, 5 mile (approx.), mixed-terrain race held in May each year.  It’s set within the 220 acres of Porthkerry Country Park in Barry, with stunning views of the Bristol Channel and the Glamorgan Heritage Coast.

The course is challenging enough for experienced runners but is equally suited to newer runners looking to try a short mixed-terrain race.

First run in 2006 as the ‘Porthkerry Plod’, the race has since established itself as a very popular fixture on the local running calendar.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Runners must be aged 17 or over on race day.
