Description: This fantastic and runnable route follows the trails out North towards Brecon, through Garwnant and onto Beacons reservoir. Once at the far end of the reservoir the route crosses the A470 and climbs Pen y Fan (The highest peak in South Wales at 886 meters). Once at the top a descent of Jacobs ladder to the roman road then following the roman road to Torpantau and return on the trails via Taf Fechan Nature reserve back to Cyfarthfa Castle. A great route for those looking to take the step up to an Ultra event whilst also catering for the experienced ultra runners.
