The first of the 4 MDAL /Welsh Milers middle distance meetings gets underway on Wednesday 1^st May - 7pm at Cwmbran Stadium.

• Athletes will benefit from being placed in races alongside athletes of similar ability as opposed to being age-graded.
• All races will be paced to give athletes the best opportunity to achieve PB’s which should be a good platform to launch a great summer of racing.
• The first event of the evening will be the 800m races at 7pm, followed by the 1500m races.
• There was a high percentage of PB’s recorded at these meetings last summer and we hope to improve on these figures during this 4 race series.
• Photo finish and electronic timing will be in place for the meetings and all entries will be made via the Welsh Athletics website and the online registration portal.
• Please arrive at the stadium and collect your race numbers at least an hour prior to race time and for those 800m athletes who are fairly inexperienced at the distance, please ensure you familiarize yourselves with the “break point” as all 800m starts will be from lanes.
• The meetings provide great competition for all athletes aged U13 – Senior.
