Due to safety concerns and access issues relating to the weather conditions this event has been postponed until 19th March

"Our decision to postpone this event has not been easy. We also discussed with other organisers, our insurance provider, and Natural resources Wales. Under the terms and conditions of entry, all participants will be transferred to Saturday, March 19th 2022. We will also offer flexibility between other events in our network and support wherever possible. Thank you so much for being so understanding in this matter. Again we are deeply sorry. The safety of our participants and crew is always our top priority. Again, we're so sorry that this decision had been made, it was a tough choice. We look forward to seeing as many of you at the HOKA Half in March.

Explore the spectacular Welsh forestland in Afan Forest. This tough race is open to anyone up for a challenge and a fun adventure. The wonderful atmosphere and friendly marshals are topped off with expansive views right around this beautiful location.

Route Information

This stunning event will take in some of the most spectacular views a runner could ever imagine. The beautiful tracks and trails of Bryn Bettws and the upper Forestry provide a trail runners paradise for this event.

The course will be challenging and will certainly put your running abilities to the test, not least with the famous climb "The Wall" at mile 11. But you can be certain that the experience will not disappoint.

The course will be well marked and marshalled by the brilliant Run Afan Forest team, and will have 2 water stations on the route and 1 at the finish line.

Although the course will be challenging in places, runners of all abilities are encouraged to come along and take part.

How To Get There

By Car: Bryn Bettws Lodge is situated 7 miles north east of Port Talbot, and can be accessed from the M4 or the A465.

By Train: Neath Station is approximately 5 miles from the venue.

By Bus: There is a bus stop at Tonmawr Post Office, a short walk from the venue.

Registration and Race Number

You will collect your race number and timing chip on the day of the race when you register. Your number must be visible on your front for the whole race. Please make sure you arrive early enough to park, register and get ready for your race.

Age Restrictions

You must be at least 16 years old to take part.

Included in the ticket price is the £2 NRW Facilities Fee.
