The Great Welsh Marathon Events returns in March 2024 and is definitely an event not to be missed! As one of Wales’ oldest and flattest marathon events, it attracts participants from across the globe to #RunCymru. Boasting a maximum elevation of only 18 metres and an overall gain of 110 metresfor the full marathon distance, this race offers a superb opportunity to achieve your personal best!

Hosted in the glorious Pembrey Country Park, runners will experience the best of coast and country on a route that covers both the half and full marathon distance.

This is a race for everyone, so whether you love inspiring green spaces or are a sucker for coastal views, then you’ll run happy, as this has it all! Best of all, this event remains to be one of Wales’ best kept secrets, with a relatively small field of runners, usually attracting just over 2,000 participants, it guarantees a friendly event that packs a punch!
