Amazing people doing amazing things

Running socially was always a big part of my life, from completing a handful of marathons (slowly!) to sitting in my full kit for nearly 2 hours with crippling anxiety, I’ve been on the full journey. 
 
Speakeasy Club came about from my desire to create safe environments for people to share their passions, championing each other (and themselves!) whilst creating communities with like minded people.

Our No Limits Series consist of events you definitely shouldn’t miss, as not only will you get to hear these amazing stories of challenges and successes from across the world, but ticket prices also include the opportunity for you to run 5k with Matt Pritchard, Rhys and Scott Jenkins and Ben Smith. There will be no 5km with Nick Butter as this event will be held online (for a smaller ticket price). So, dust off those running shoes, and get ready for some thrilling and eye-opening events with us! You never know, it might even inspire you to take on a personal challenge yourself. I am delighted to say I have secured a place at this years London marathon so I need all the inspiration I can get!

Some people do incredible things. As in, really incredible, awe-inspiring things like being the only person to run a marathon in every country in the world, someone else who ran 401 marathons in 401 days, another who went from being a rocker to an ultra-endurance athlete and vegan chef, to two brothers who ran 2000 miles across the USA from Boston to Austin!
 
Events are taking place in Llandaff or Penarth, in partnership with Welsh Athletics and RunWales. After these initial events in the Cardiff area, we hope to extend the The No Limits Series across Wales from 2023, so if you’re not in the locality just yet, stay tuned!

Each event will also be raising money for a charity close to the speaker’s heart.

I believe that it’s the crazy things, the things that no one is doing, and the things that we’re afraid to do... which are in fact exactly that which leaves a positive mark on the world.”
