New Chair sought for General Council

Welsh Athletics are looking for expressions of interest for this key role within the Governance structure of the sport in Wales. The Chair of the General Council is elected by the members on a two year term, the Chair also sits as a Director of Welsh Athletics, ensuring a direct line of communication between the Operational and strategic elements of the Governance structure of Welsh Athletics. The council is tasked with representing the views of the members and of the clubs affiliated to the Regional Athletic Councils, and the Chair is hence the voice of the membership on the Board.
The position is currently held by Sue Alvey whose term comes to an end this year, the new Chair will resume the role following our AGM on 22nd October. Appointments are made for two years with up to three terms allowed.
