‘I started athletics when I was 16 at my local club Bridgend AC and gravitated towards the 400m/400m hurdles. Through enjoyment of the sport from the training sessions, making friends and having fun and enjoyable coaches, helped encourage me to train more regularly. As a result of regular training, I found early success of winning the Welsh School and Welsh Championships I the 400m Hurdles, which gave me the confidence to continue in the event, going on to win every Welsh, British and European title in every age group, in the 400m hurdles.
Career highlights have to be winning the European Championships in 2012 and representing GB at the London Olympics in 2012.
My new role will see me help develop athletes and coaches for the Sprints, Hurdles and Relays across the pathway and am I very much look forward to contributing to Welsh Athletics over the next few years
