118th Welsh Cross Country Championships, 25
Dewi Griffiths (Swansea Harriers) claimed his 8th Welsh Cross Country Senior title on Saturday in Brecon.
In the Senior Women’s race Olivia Tsim (Pontypridd Roadents) claimed her first Welsh Cross Country title.
A number of athletes picked up their third national titles of the year at the event, after claiming victories in the Indoor and Welsh Schools Championships.
UK Athletics Combined Events Championships, 25
Lauren Evans (Cardiff Athletics) claimed the British Senior Women Pentathlon with a number of personal bests to complete her indoor season. Evans ran a new PB in the 800m with a time of 2:20:24i and the 60m hurdles with 8:46i.
Birmingham World Athletics Tour Final 2023, 25
Piers Copeland (Pontypridd Roadents) finished in 8 place in the Men’s 1500m final with a time of 3:40.64.
Sam Gordon (Cardiff Athletics) finished in third in the Men's 60m in 6.70.
BUCS Indoor Championships, 24, 25 & 26
It was a successful weekend for the Welsh athletes and universities competing at the BUCS Indoor Championships in Sheffield.
Reigning Welsh Senior Indoor Champion over 60m, Hannah Longden (Cardiff Athletics / UWE) took gold in the 200m with a time of 23:69.
James Heneghan (Pontypridd Roadents / Cardiff Uni) took gold in the Men’s 3000m, to add to his gold in the 1500m in 2022.
Cardiff University took bronze in the Women’s 4x200m relay, featuring Transition Programme Athlete Grace Morgan (Cardiff Archers / Cardiff Uni).
Birchfield Harriers Open Meeting, 26
Joe Brier (Swansea Harriers) set a season best of 46.88 in Birmingham as he prepares for the European Indoor Championships in Istanbul.
Dewi Hammond (Cardiff Athletics) was the fastest overall in the Senior Men over 60m with a time of 6.79.
Rebecca Chapman (Cardiff Athletics) finished second in the Women's long jump with a distance of 6.14m.
