Two new Non-Exec Directors added to Board of Welsh Athletics

Welsh Athletics are happy to confirm that following an open recruitment process, Helen Adams and Tom Overton will join the Board of Directors.

Helen, who currently works as a bid Manager for the financial group Target, has a significant amount of experience working within the Sports Sector, having previously worked for Sport Wales and the WRU. She will be the Board’s lead on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and will Chair a new Equality Advisory Group that will be established in the near future. Having led the process for the WRU, Helen will be supporting Welsh Athletics in its ambition to achieve the advanced level of the equality standard. |

With over 20 years experience of working in Community Sport, Tom will bring a wealth of knowledge to the Board and will be the Board lead on Development and Participation. Having recently been the Head of Community Sport at Sport Wales, Tom is keen to ensure that Welsh Athletics continues to grow its participation base as well as supporting Chris Moss with the Club Modernisation programme. |
Both Tom and Helen join the Board on the first of July.
