Schools Athletics & Virtual Conference

To date, there are 91 attendees booked for Friday 9th April Schools Athletics Virtual Conference if you know of anyone else who may be interested. It is free to attend, the content will include:
- Presentations on the new Starting Blocs resource,
- Case studies of school district competition pathways & format at both primary and secondary ages,
- An athletics perspective of a typical year in the life of a PE teacher, and
- An overview of the Run Jump Throw Secondary Athletics Resource & course which is aimed at qualified and trainee teachers supporting the delivery of high-quality physical education in secondary schools.

We are not going to be able to deliver the face-to-face primary and secondary teaching run jump & throw schools athletics courses this academic year it appears.
However UK Athletics will be delivering them virtually on our behalf, the dates are shown on the attached image and the booking links are here if you are interested click here Coaching Courses to see the courses amongst the club coach education calendar.
The Workshops are aimed at qualified and trainee teachers, as well as those supporting the management and delivery of high-quality sport and physical education in primary/secondary schools, and are packed full of useful teaching tips and ideas. Each candidate will receive access to the Secondary Teaching Resources within the Schools Athletics App.
The resources associated with this workshop are provided via the brand new Schools Athletics App, which has been designed to place running, jumping, and throwing at the heart of school physical education, whilst supporting teachers in delivering athletics activities in an inclusive, exciting, and engaging manner.
