New Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Director joins our Board

Charlotte Waite, currently the Director of Transformation and System Change at Platfform, a mental health and social change charity, has joined the Welsh Athletics Board as a Non-exec Director for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Charlotte's role at Platfform is to challenge and change both public service systems and communities to better support mental health and well-being.
"This is a new appointment as until recently I was seconded as Relationship and Engagement Lead to the Wales Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Hub and before that, I was the Director of Young People and Family Services at Solas Cymru. During my career I have managed and developed a range of multi-disciplinary teams and services including leading a pioneering Integrated Family Support Team; the Social Work Programme at the University of South Wales and the introduction of evidence-based Support Services for families of substance users in the UK. My passions and specialisms include creating and sustaining psychologically informed services, ACE awareness, system change, supporting families, young people and mobilising communities for better mental health."
