“On embarking on this important role within Welsh Athletics I would first and foremost like to thank Carol Anthony for her excellent work as Chair. Her enthusiasm and commitment towards the task over the years was first class, and she will be a difficult act to follow. We are starting on a new beginning with a new structure being implemented by the Board in the coming months ass well as making the necessary changes in developing the Board along the lines envisaged by ‘Sport Wales’. This is an exciting time and having the opportunity to play a part in leading the sport forward in the coming years is an honour.”
“Wrth ddechrau ar fy rol o fewn Athletau Cymru hoffwn yn gyntaf ddiolch a chydnabod fy rhagflaenydd, Carol Anthony, am ei gwaith penigamp fel Cadeirydd y Bwrdd. Bu ei brwdfydedd a’i hymroddiad i’r tasgau o dan ei gofal dros y blynyddoedd o’r radd flaenaf ac mi fydd yn anodd ei dilyn. Rydym yn cychwyn cyfnod newydd ym myd Athletau Cymru gyda strwythur gwahanol yn cael ei fabwysiadu yn ogystal a datblygu’r Bwrdd yn ol gweledigaeth ‘Chwaraeon Cymru’. Mae hwn yn amser cyffrous ac mae cael y cyfle i chwarae rhan yn arwain Athletau Cymru ymlaen i’r dyfodol yn fraint.”
