Masters Programme gets underway at Manchester Marathon

The Master’s International Programme for 2026 will be getting under way in April with a 62 strong Welsh Team taking part in the Manchester Marathon on Sunday 19 April. Teams were selected before Christmas, and the athletes have been training hard to get in the best shape for race day.
Teams for the 10km international, which will be taking place in Bideford, Devon on Sunday 10 May 2026, and the Swansea Half Marathon, which will be taking place on Sunday 7 June 2026, will both be selected on 15 April, so any athletes interested in competing for Wales in either of those events should go to the website to find further details and how to express an interest.
Expressions of interest should be in by no later than 13 April and athletes should have achieved the minimum standards as detailed on the website.
Expressions of interest are also being taken for the remaining fixtures in the year including the Shrewsbury Festival of Running (5km) on Saturday 11 July 2026 and the Forest of Dean Trail Race on Sunday 27 September 2026.
