Competing for Wales: Masters Road Racing Opportunities

Building on the success of two road Masters Internationals in 2022 at Tenby and Bristol, there will be more opportunities for Master athletes to represent Wales in 2023 across all distances from 5km through to marathon.
The International fixtures will be against England, and hopefully some of the other Home International countries. The opportunities are as follows:

| 10km | Chester 10km | 12 March |
| Half Marathon | Chester Half Marathon | 21 May |
| Marathon | Chester Marathon | 8 October |
Teams of 6 male and 6 athletes (with four to score in each) per 10 year age groups will be picked per event provided that the minimum standards have been achieved.
These opportunities are being provided by Welsh Athletics and athletes have to be eligible to compete for Wales and registered athletes in Wales. It is expected that athletes competing for Wales would take part in at least one Welsh Championship in the preceding or current year.
