RACE DESCRIPTION

The Great Welsh Marathon Events returns on Sunday 2 April 2023 and is definitely an event for your A-Z bucket list! As one of Wales’ oldest marathon events it attracts participants from across the globe to #RunCymru, and as you would expect, it is synonymous with everything that’s Welsh. Hosted in the glorious Pembrey Country Park, runners will experience the best of coast and country on a flat route that covers both the half and full marathon distance. This is a race for everyone, so whether you love inspiring green spaces or are a sucker for coastal views, then you’ll run happy, as this has it all! Best of all, this event remains to be one of Wales’ best kept secrets, with a relatively small field of runners, usually attracting just over 2,000 participants, it guarantees a friendly event that packs a punch!
