The level 1 Field Official course is an entry level qualification on the UK Athletics Track & Field Officials pathway.
Successful completion of the Level 1 for Field Judge will enable individuals to work with other qualified officials, supporting assistant officials, whilst judging at athletics events.
Duration: 2 x 2 hour sessions

What else do you need once you have booked on your course?
To complete your license, you'll need to have a valid DBS check cleared with UK Athletics. You can check your DBS status and complete the process by logging into the Welsh Athletics Member Login, following the instructions below:
- You will receive a confirmation email which includes your URN/WA number.
- Use your URN number to log on to your myATHLETICS portal.
- Click on the appropriate link to update your DBS. Follow the on-screen instructions complete the online DBS procedure and upload a passport photo.
- Complete the free online Health and Safety module.
- Complete the online Safeguarding course.
If you have already completed the Safeguarding in Athletics module as a coach/leader or as part of another volunteer role in athletics then there is not the requirement to complete it again until your licence is due for renewal.
6. Officiate at 4 varying* athletics meetings and record in your accreditation form.
7.Email your accreditation form to officials@welshathletics.org for grading in order to receive for UKA Level 1 License.
*Level 1 Field Officials will need to experience 1 horizontal jump, 1 vertical jump, 1 shot and 1 long throw.
