An official who becomes Level 4 will be eligible to go onto the UKA Active List for consideration for major meetings and championships, which may include televised meetings.
Who should go on this course?
Level 3 officials wishing to move to Level 4P or existing Level 4 officials interested in updating their education and mentoring other officials.
What will I learn?
To understand starter assistant official's roles, including;
- Referee (Skills, duties and attributes)
- Mentoring/ Assessment and Reporting
- Allocation of duties
- Start Technology
Is there an assessment?
Evidence of self-assessment and subsequent learning, this will be from the reports and from descriptive experiences on the Record of Experience along with evidence of mentoring i.e., candidates seeking or being offered and taking advice.
What do I do after the course?
- Show evidence of self - reflection and mentoring
- Officiate in at least 30 Track and Field meetings as a discipline specific Technical Official over 2 years
- Minimum of 6 positive reports
