COMMONWEALTH GAMES NOMINATION STANDARD IN THE SHOT PUTT (17.17)

Being selected to compete for Team Wales at the Commonwealth Games would be an incredible honour. It has been a goal of mine since I was a little girl. I would be so proud of myself; knowing the hard work that myself and my team have put in to make it this far. Being selected to wear the Welsh Vest at the Games would be a demonstration of my mental toughness. Similar to many athletes, for every success I've had in the past 10 years, I've had twice as many set backs. My parents have been my absolute rock, I owe everything to them. I've been competing for Wales in athletics since I was around 14 years old. I've competed at a number of major international championships but I have never competed at a Commonwealth Games. This time, I'm ready!

Aside from aspiring to compete at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Adele is also looking to be selected to represent Great Britian at the 2022 Winter Olympics in the Bobsleigh.
