Welsh success at BMAF cross Country International Glasgow

Swansea Harrier Ifan Lloyd was the star Welsh performer at the BMAF Cross Country International at Tollcross Park Glasgow with a fantastic run to finish second in the M60 category. Not only did ifan win individual silver medal but he also helped his team mates to silver in the team race.
Gordon Jones, Prestatyn had set the day off well with an excellent 4th place in the M65 category which took place in the opening race. Neil Owen’s, Run Free Fell, making his Welsh debut ran well to finish in sixth place.
The second race of the day was women 35-64 and relative newcomer, Joanne Henderson, Denbigh led the Welsh contingent home with a fourth place in the W45 category.
The third race of the day was the M50-64 in which Ifan Lloyd excelled as d he was backed up in the team race by Dave Warren in 6th place and Eric Campbell in 15th place.
The final international race of the day was the M35-49 and after a fast start Ryan Davis, Wrexham hung on well to finish 13th.
