Cardiff Met New Year Non Thomas Open, 22 January

On Sunday the Cardiff Met New Year Open was hosted at NIAC, incorporating the Welsh Senior 3000m Championships.

Megan Carter-Davies (Swansea Harriers) took the Welsh 3000m title with a time of 9:29:34 in the Women’s race. Donna Morris (Builth and District Running Club) took second with 10:35:67, and in third was Bronwen Stratton-Thomas (Swansea Harriers) with 10:51:22.

In the Men’s race Oliver Barbaresi (Thames Valley Harriers) took the Welsh title with 8:14:29, Iolo Hughes (Sale Harriers Manchester) came home in second with 8:17:53, Lloyd Sheppard Brown (UCARM) finished in third with 8:20:85.

CF64 Winter Race, 22 January

In Penarth Ffion Williams (Port Talbot Harriers AC) took first in the women’s category with a time of 42:05, whilst Jacob Tasker (Ogmore Phoenix Runners) came home first in the men’s category with a time of 34:59.

North Wales Cross Country League, 22 January

The North Wales Cross Country League took place in Colwyn Bay over the weekend. In the women's race Sara Willhoit (Shrewsbury AC) took first place with 28:47, whilst Rhodri Owen (Meririonydd) took first in the men's race with 40:13.

GLCL Race 3, 22 January

Lauren Cooper (Park Bryn Bach RC) came home first in the women’s race with a time of 31:47. Whilst Phillip Matthews (Parc Bryn Back RC) finished in first overall and in the Men’s V40 category with a time of 28:00.
