Home Countries International Cross Country, 12 November

A strong team of 16 athletes attended the second fixture in the British Cross Challenge on Saturday 12 November. 

In the Women's senior race Alaw Beynon Thomas (Les Croupiers) was the first Welsh athlete to cross the finish line with a time of 26:53. 

Ciaran Lewis (Les Croupiers) was the first Welsh athlete to finish in the Men's senior race, finishing in 16th with 29:26. 

In the Women's U20 races, Moli Lyons (Cardiff AC) finished in 11th with 18:29.

In the Men's U20 race Lloyd Shepperd-Brown (Cardiff AC) finished in 16th with 22:47. 

There were also great performances by Welsh athletes not competing in a Welsh Vest including by Cari Hughes in fourt and Melissa Courtney-Bryant who finished 10th.

Bryony Boyce finished 2nd in the U13 Girls race and Millie Gold finished 1st in the U15 Girls race. Iwan Thomas was third in the U17 Men's race.

BMAF Masters Cross Country International, 12 November 

A team of 56 travelled to Dublin after a two year hiatus.

In the Women's 35+ Lucy Marland (Les Croupiers) was the first Welsh athlete to finish with 21:17, finishing 8th overall.

In the Men's 35+ Luke Northall (Wrexham) finished first of the Welsh athletes with 27:19, finishing 20th overall.

Blaise Castle Gwent League, 13 November 

The second event of the league took place in Bristol on Sunday. 

In the Senior Women's race Chloe Dooley (Pontypridd Roadents AC) finished first of the Welsh clubs in third with 24:44. 

In the Senior Men's race was the first Welsh Athlete home in second. Dan Nash (Cardiff Amateur AC) finished first of the Welsh clubs in fifth with 26:32.
