On Sunday seven athletes will represent Wales at the Trafford 10K in Partington Sports Village.

In the Senior Women’s race, Anna Bracegirdle (Salford Harriers) will be competing in her first 10K of 2023, after racing at the Seville Marathon in February and Essar Four Villages Half Marathon in January.

Birmingham Commonwealth Games Beth Kidger (Brighton Phoenix) will also be competing in the Senior Women’s race. Kidger recently finished fourth in the Friday Night 5K Under the Lights in Battersea Park on the 17 February in 16:08.

Completing the Welsh Senior Women’s line up is Sophie Pickett (Herne Hill Harriers) who will be competing in her first race of 2023.

Recent gold medallist in the BUCS Men 3000m, James Heneghan (Pontypridd Roadents) will be in action in the Senior Men’s race.

Completing the Welsh Senior Men line-up are Paul Graham (Pontypridd Roadents), who recently raced in the Seville Marathon and Christopher Thomas (Thames Valley) who recently competed at the Amargh Internatinal Road Race where he completed the race in 14:27.
