We have already featured a range of clubs from across Wales throughout this campaign this week we are looking at a couple what clubs have been doing to keep their members engaged and also do some great work for the wider community

Bridgend AC

Yesterday saw the culmination of the Bridgend AC 1, 2, 3, 4 Mile Challenge with club members posting their fastest times over the set distances each week. A great way to keep competitive spirits high and the good news is the challenge rolls over and the May Challenge starts all over again this week!!

This week sees the next 3 events in the club #HomeDecathlon #DecathlonChallenge which has been a great way for all ages to get active and stay involved. Coach Christopher Jeynes has been coordinating the activities and even challenging other clubs across Wales in the process!! Full information can be found on the Bridgend AC twitter feed

Parc Bryn Bach:

Have put heir own spin on the Cardiff 5k Race for Victory (usually held in Whitchurch) by creating the 'Which Church?' run in specially made T-Shirts to support the NHS. Some great and much-needed positivity at this time. Further information on the Parc Bryn Bach RC twitter feed…

NB - you have until tomorrow [7th May] to enter our first virtual 5k Challenge this weekend!

Zoom:

A number of clubs have been carrying out virtual training activities with their members via Zoom, including some inspirational sessions from 3M Gorseinon and head coach for Cardiff Archers Phil Warwicker leading activities for younger members. Congratulations to both clubs for innovating, using technology and finding ways to connect with their members.

Likewise a number of cubs have been using the time to have some fun and spread some joy. Just in case you missed it, check out some video fun from;

Maldwyn Harriers and Rhymney Valley AC

Welsh Athletics:

We are doing all that we can to help support clubs through this period and last week we published a Club Development Update highlighting all of the activities and key information this update can be found here.
