Zane Maynard, WSAA International Secretary shared:
"The Welsh Schools' AA are proud to announce the appointment of Team Captains for the SIAB weekend in Scotland 14th - 16th of July.
"Cara Scott (Ysgol Botwnnog) will captain the girls team. Cara is an experienced SIAB athlete both on the track and country and as a year 11 Pupil will be a great role model for our younger athletes on such a big occasion. After a quiet start to the season due to exams, by winning the 1500 m S/C at the National Championships Cara will go to Scotland full of confidence.
"The boys' team will be captained by Osian Parry (Radyr Comprehensive School) Again an experienced SIAB pupil indoors and out. Osian will have a busy day in Grangemouth being involved in 3 events but again will be a great role model for younger pupils and be on hand to offer any advice if needed.
"The Association would like to thank both pupils for accepting the roles and we look forward to working closely with them over the weekend."
