Digital Platforms Update
02/10/2024 00:00, In Blog / Club Notice Board /
Following our update on Friday, we would like to apologise again to our members for the disruption they have faced in recent days and the inconvenience caused as a result.
We have been working closely with UK Athletics, who manage the shared IT infrastructure, to understand the cause of the technical difficulties and it has been confirmed that these issues are a result of an IT security incident it experienced on Thursday 26th September.
We’re collectively taking this matter incredibly seriously and led by UK Athletics, have enlisted the assistance of external security experts to help manage our recovery and investigate the impact.
UK Athletics has been able to bring some of its systems back online safely and securely following this incident and coaches and officials should now be able to access Athletics Hub for course bookings.
Unfortunately, other systems remain unavailable, but the dedicated IT team will continue to work around the clock to restore servers swiftly and securely and we anticipate that the myathletics portal and club secretaries portal will be available in the next 24-48 hours and we are hopeful that we will be fully operational again within the week.
If you are trying to renew your coaching or officiating licence, the terms of your licence will not be impacted by the outage, and you will be able to renew your licence online once the myAthletics portal is operational again.
We want to thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to work through this. We will communicate with further updates on this page when we have them.
