We are delighted to share that we have a number of Coach Education courses available on the 20 & 21 of January in Erddig Hall Wrexham.
The courses include, Fell, Hill, Off Road and Trail Leader, LiRF, and Guide Running Workshops.
Fell, Hill, Off Road and Trail Leader
The Fell, Hill, Off Road and Trail Leader module is a workshop that is designed for those who have completed the standard LiRF qualification and who now wish to lead groups safely on more challenging terrains and in more remote areas. The course builds on the LiRF qualification, contextualizing the learning for an unpredictable environment and covers, ‘preparing for’ and ‘managing risk’ on different terrains, in varying conditions.
Leadership in Running Fitness
The Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and insurance to lead running based fitness sessions for people over 12 years of age. The course focuses on understanding and overcoming barriers to participation in running and enables you to deliver fun and safe sessions for multi ability groups.
Guide Running
The Welsh Athletics Guide Running Workshop has been developed in partnership with Disability Sport Wales with contribution and support from Guide Dogs Cymru. The 2-hour workshop is a mixture of theory and practical activities and provides attendees with information and experience in supporting visually impaired people to run. Those completing the workshop with an up to date and valid Leadership in Running Fitness qualification will also have the opportunity to join the Welsh Athletics / Run Wales register of recognised Guide Runners.
