03/08/2020 00:00, In Blog / Club Notice Board /

With the gradual unlocking of the Sport of the last few weeks Welsh Athletics is pleased to announce we will soon be launching our new look coach education offer. We have been working hard with UKA, and the other HCAF’s, in order to repackage the Coaching Assistant, Leader in Running Fitness and Event Group qualifications.

Coaching Assistant and the Leader in Running Fitness qualification will now be comprised of a blended learning experience, with both an online (remote/home learning) and face to face component. This accelerated move to virtual classroom, and self-guided learning, complemented by outdoor, tutor-led practical, will allow us to start to deliver Coach Education again aligned to Welsh Government guidance.

The Event Group qualification will now be a completely online offer, with the self-guided modules being followed by a virtual classroom Integration offer deliver across two sessions.

We are also aware of coaches making their way through the Athletic Coach and Coaching in Running Fitness qualification and we are looking at ways to get these up and running as soon as if feasible. Day 3 of Athletics Coach can now be completed online. For further information on this please email zoe.holloway@welshathletics.org
