Day two of the 2026 Welsh Under-14, Under-16, Under-20 and Para Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships saw a number of athletes continuing their excellent form from the previous day’s action.

Outstanding Welsh Athletics National Development Programme sprinter Darcy Coslett (Llanelli AAC) added the Under-20 women’s 200m title to the 400m title she had won comfortably on Saturday.

In equally emphatic style, Coslett, who is one of the most outstanding Under-18 sprinters in the United Kingdom, cruised to the half-lap gold in 24.77.

Fellow NDP Under-18 athlete Tiana Odugbesan (Cardiff Archers) was second in 25.73 ahead of Sophie Davies (Wrexham AAC) in 27.22.

Earlier in the day, the women’s Under-20 long jump saw a showdown between Odugbesan and fellow NDP athlete Olivia Scrimshaw (Deeside AAC).

Odugbesan took the initiative in the first round leaping to 5.73m, which proved to be the winning distance as Scrimshaw’s best of 5.56m came in the fourth round. The bronze medal went to Lily Hardy (Menai Track and Field) with 4.59m.

There were a trio of NDP throwers in action in the Under-20 women’s discus competition.
