WSAA Statement Events – Spring Term 2021

Welsh Schools Athletic Association today confirms the cancellation of the 2021 WSAA Cross Country Championships which was due to be held at Penlan Arena, Brecon on Saturday, March 6th. We understand that this will be another disappointment for all those aspiring to take part. However, as always, our overriding rationale behind this decision is based on a determination to ensure the safety of athletes, spectators, team managers, officers, and officials.
This follows the cancellation of the SIAB XC which had been scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 20th.
Another casualty is the Welsh Sportshall Final which had been scheduled for Sunday, March 7th. at Cwmbran.
We ask that all school athletes across Wales continue to take care of themselves and others in the difficult weeks ahead.
