WSAA Sportshall Challenge

Schools across Wales have been taking part in a National Sportshall event over recent weeks. This involves a pentathlon consisting of standing long jump and high jump, a speed bounce, a chest push of a 1 to 2 kg medicine ball (weight depends on age group) as well as a timed shuttle run over a set distance. Points are then awarded against each performance with points then aggregated to produce a school points tally.

Closing date for submitting entries was on Friday, November 27th. The final league table for our Primary Schools is shown below:

Congratulations to Golftyn Primary School from Connah’s Quay on Deeside for their impressive win in the Primary category with that impressive total of 2925 points over the five disciplines.

With a number of secondary schools still requesting to submit results for inclusion on the leaderboard the deadline for submission is extended to FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4th. So any school still to submit is encouraged to do so. By email please to steve.jones@ws-aa.org

Schools are also reminded that the WSAA Virtual Cross-Country event is now open (closing date for entries is the last day of Autumn Term – Friday, December 18th.)
