Welsh Regions battle it out at Leeds Abbey Dash 10K

Last month, the four Welsh regions battled it out in a strong UK field at the Leeds Abbey Dash event where Welsh records were broken and new personal bests were set.
In the men's race, there was a very close battle between an experienced senior South Wales team and a young West Wales team made up of two U20 athletes and a senior athlete, all from Swansea Harriers. Ultimately it was South Wales that took the win by a small margin with West Wales coming behind followed by North Wales and East Wales.
In the Women's race, there was another close race but this time between East Wales and South Wales. Lauren Cooper from East Wales and Lucy Marland from South Wales had their own mini battle going on with Cooper just taking the win from Marland and leading the East Wales team to the win.
