The 2022 Welsh 10km Road Race Series will begin with the Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k on Sunday 15^th May.

The Series will incorporate five of the top Welsh races over 10km and will culminate at the ABP Newport Wales 10k on Sunday 23^rd October.

Athletes who are registered with Welsh Athletics will be eligible to compete in the series. This includes athletes who are eligible to compete for Wales and athletes who are members of Welsh Clubs.

Eligible Athletes will be issued points in each race and an athletes top four scores will be combined and scored in the following age-groups; Senior, M35 / W35, M45 / W45, M55 / W55, M65+ / W65+.

‘We are delighted to announce the return of the Welsh 10km Road Race Series in 2022’ said Alex Donald, Endurance Competitions Manager for Welsh Athletics. ‘The majority of our membership are endurance runner’s so we are keen to offer a new competition opportunity to this demographic and have been working with event organisers across Wales to make this happen’.

Sunday 15^th May: Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k (East Wales)
Sunday 3^rd July: Healthspan Porthcawl 10k (South Wales)
Sunday 24^th July: Helena Tipping Wrexham 10k (North Wales)
Sunday 18^th September: Admiral Swansea Bay 10k (West Wales)
Sunday 23^rd October: ABP Newport Wales 10k (East Wales)

Prize Structure
The following prizes will be issued in the Welsh 10km Road Race Series, following the final event on 23^rd October;

1^st £500
2^nd £300
3^rd £200
4^th £100
5^th £50

Kit prizes will also be issued for the winners of each master’s category.
