Welsh 10km Championships

The Welsh 10km Championships is returning again this year as part of the Welsh Road Running Championships. To be incorporated into the Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10km.
Taking place on the 16th May, the race is set in the shadow of the spectacular Caerphilly Castle passing iconic landmarks including the giant cheese sculpture and Tommy Cooper statue as well as offering great views of the medieval castle.
The race attracts many elite and competitive entrants, with the course record being currently held by Matthew Clowes, who ran 30:33 in 2018.

As part of the Welsh Road Running Championships, the 10km is held alongside four other distances, including:
- 5km - Sunday May 1st; Cardiff 5km Race for Victory
- Half Marathon - Sunday 27th March; Cardiff University Cardiff Half Marathon
- Marathon - Sunday 2nd October; TCS London Marathon
- Welsh Road Relay Championships - September Date TBC
