Llanelli Half Marathon, 24 of September
Front Runner Events’ Llanelli Half Marathon returned on Sunday, with hundreds of runners taking part.
Harry Waring claimed the men’s title, finishing the half marathon in 1:14:52. Pontypridd Roadents claimed second and third with Andrew How (Pontypridd Roadents) finishing in 1:15:19 and David Jones (Pontypridd Roadents) in 1:16:43.
Caryl Edwards (Swansea Harriers) claimed the women’s title completing the 21k in 1:19:21. Edwards was followed home by Alex Cawthra in second with 1:26:26 and Stephanie Gibson in third with 1:28:59.
BMW Berlin Marathon, 24 of September
A number of Welsh athletes travelled to Germany for the 2023 BMW Berlin Marathon.
Matthew Rees (Swansea Harriers) was the first Welsh athlete across the finish line, completing the marathon in 2:31:36. Whist Lizzie Dimond (Lliswerry Runners) was the first Welsh female home with 2:48:32.
The Big Social Run, 24 September
