World Athletics Race Walking Tour Gold, Dudince

Bethan Davies (Cardiff) walked her way to a British Record this weekend in Dundince at the World Athletics Race Walking Tour Gold event. Competing over the 35km distance, she destroyed her previous best and the previous British Record by over 90 seconds, recording a time of 2:58:48.

Oregon Relays, Oregon

It was third time lucky for Jonny Hopkins (Swansea) this weekend as he ran well inside the Commonwealth Games Nomination standard for the 3000m Steeplechase. After two agonisingly close attempts previously this month, Jonny ran a time of 8:31.8 to run his fastest time in the event since 2018.

Welsh steeplechase record holder, Kate Seary (Cardiff) lined up in the women’s event, running a time of 10:01.28 to finish in 5th place. Lauren Cooper (Parc Bryn Bach) was also in action over the 3000m steeplechase, running a time of 10:39.45 to place 10th.

North Belfast Harriers Afternoon of 5000m, Belfast

Kris Jones (Swansea) won the Men's A race in a time of 14:14.06, winning by nearly 20 seconds.

Wrexham Elite Marathon & Half Marathon 

Hugh Armstrong of Ballina AC ran the race of his life to record a time of 2:14:04 to take the victory in the Men's Marathon, ahead of Calum Johnson of Gateshead AC (2:17:45). Chelsea Baker of the Royal Navy Athletics Club took the Women's victory in a time of 2:47:04, ahead of Sarah Hunter of Ackworth Road Runners (2:50:57).

In the half marathon, Fionnuala Ross of Armagh AC had a narrow victory over Mollie Williams of Stockport and Catherine Whoriskey of Derry AC, each recording times of 1:14:18, 1:14:23 and 1:16:11 respectively. Olivia Tsim (Pontypridd) was fourth in a time of 1:16:38. 

Jake O'Regan reigned supreme in the Men's half marathon, winning in a time of 1:04:58, ahead of Alister Watson of Notts AC and Joe Sagar od Spenborough who ran times of 1:05:48 and 1:06:11.
