VALENCIA 10K 15 JAN
On Sunday Michael Ward (Cardiff AC) was the first Welsh finisher in the Valencia 10K with a time of 29:35.
There were more great performances with Matt Edwards (Cardiff AAC) finishing in 32:07 and Lauren Cooper (Parc Bryn Bach) in 36:02.
BRITISH ATHLETICS CROSS CHALLENGE PERTH, 14 JAN
The fourth leg of the series took place at Scone Palace over the weekend with Kristian Jones (Swansea Harriers) taking silver in the Men’s race with a time of 25:06.
There were strong performances from Welsh junior athletes. NDP athletes Iwan Thomas, Beca Bown and Finley Bruce competed strongly in the U17 races, with Iwan 6, Beca 7 and Finley 15.
In the U15 race RDP athlete Millie Gold finished in 13.
The final leg of the series will take place in Loughborough in March.
NORTH WALES INDOOR REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, 15 JAN
There was a strong display of performances at the 2023 North Wales Indoor Regional Championships took place on Sunday.
LLISWERRY 8, 15 JAN
Jonathan Butler (Swansea Harriers AC) took first in Men’s category with a time of 39:58.
Elizabeth Dimond (Lliswerry Runners) was the first to finish in the Women’s race, finishing in 48:03.
ESSAR FOUR VILLAGES HALF MARATHON, 15 JAN
In Helsby Anna Bracegirdle (Salford Harriers & AC) took first in the Women’s category with a great time of 1:14:48.
