As is traditional, the New Year brought with it a few racing opportunities around the UK and overseas. Although not many results to report, there were a couple of athletes in action.
Central Lancs Half Marathon 2022
Geraint Williams (Swansea Harriers) started the year with a bang, winning the Central Lancs Half Marathon by 80 seconds, running 74:39.
San Silvestre Vallecana 2021
Angharad Davies (Carmarthen) placed 9th at the San Silvestre Vallecana 10km in a time of 35:09, competing over the distance for the first time.
Run, Jump, Throws Series, Sheffield
Lauren Evans (Cardiff) had a busy day, placing 3rd in the 60m hurdles, running a time of 8.78s, 2nd in the Shot, throwing 10.81m and 2nd in the Triple Jump, recording a best jump of 5.42m. Rebecca Chapman (Cardiff) placed 2nd in the Long Jump, leaping 6.10m.
