Equal Opportunities in Cross Country consultation update

UK Athletics have today provided the following update:
Following the closing date for both the survey and written submissions at the end of January we are pleased to confirm significant engagement with the consultation process. More than 10,000 submissions have been received in response with a large proportion of them offering mainly qualitative input for consideration ahead of the next stages. These submissions - expressing all sides of the debate - have been detailed, passionate, thought provoking, and knowledgeable. They will take time to properly review in a way that guides the next stages involving webinars and focus groups.
This means – for absolutely the right reasons - we will not be able to meet the timelines originally communicated here. It is right that we do not rush this process and we will confirm adjusted timelines when submissions are properly reviewed. Many thanks once again to all those who have contributed and engaged with this process.
We will continue to update the athletics community in Wales on the consultation as and when more information is available.
