The 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games are underway!

The 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games in the twin nation island of Trinidad and Tobago takes place from the 4th-11th August.
11 athletes from Athletics have made the journey to the Caribbean to represent Team Wales. For the first time in Commonwealth Youth Games history, para-athletics is included in the sports programme, which will see 4 Welsh athletes compete.
The team is led by Rhys Williams, National Talent Development Coordinator – Sprints & Hurdles, who competed at the first-ever Commonwealth Youth Games in 2000.

The Games will be available to watch LIVE from the Organising Committee’s YouTube channel: Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee.
LIVE coverage of the Trinbago2023 Commonwealth Youth Games gets underway with the spectacular Opening Ceremony at the Hasely Crawford Stadium from 16.00 (AEST) on 4th August 2023.
Coverage of all the sports continues on Saturday 5 August with streaming from venues across Trinidad and Tobago. The Cycling - Road events and the Triathlon coverage will be provided in the form of a highlights package.

WHEN WILL ATHLETICS BE LIVE?
Athletics will take place between Monday 7th – Thursday 10th August and action for the Welsh athletes will get underway with the men’s 100m sprint.
