Congratulations to the eight athletes selected to represent Welsh Athletics at the Trofeo Nasego Mountain Running Seven Nations on Saturday 5th and Sundy 6th September 2026 – Casto, Italy

We are very excited to be sending a Welsh team to this WMRA World Mountain Cup competition for a 2nd time, and to be competing against national teams from Italy, Switzerland, France, England, Scotland and Ireland. This is an incredibly high standard competition and provides athletes with a real opportunity to challenge themselves against the best, seeing what is required to continue to progress to the highest levels. I wish all athletes the best of luck with their final preparations and the races themselves (both the uphill on Saturday and the up and down hill on Sunday)
