Statement on Run Britain/Race Licencing

In line with the Athletics Unified strategy, and the need for absolute clarity of roles and responsibilities between UK Athletics and the Home Countries, Welsh Athletics can confirm that it will assume full responsibility for race licencing going forward.
Welsh Athletics (along with England Athletics), currently utilise the Run Britain portal to manage all licences for Road and Multi Terrain. This process will continue for the foreseeable future, with Jacqueline Brace being the main point of contact for race providers – with no changes for race providers.
Welsh Athletics will begin a consultation process with competition providers in the hope of creating a more efficient and supportive system to enable competition providers to grow their events and grow the sport in Wales.
