Six weeks to go to the start of the Welsh 10k Series

The Welsh 10k Road Race Series is a five-race series that includes existing 10km road races from around Wales. The 2024 Series will begin on the 28 April at the ABP Newport 10k.
Welsh Athletics’ Head Of Competitions, Alex Donald said;
The endurance side of our sport continues to grow and the road racing scene is very strong in Wales at the moment. The Welsh 10k Series offers a competitive racing opportunity for all our Endurance Athletes so we will continue working with event organisers across Wales to ensure the best possible competition opportunity is available.
Featured Races
Sunday 28 April: ABP Newport 10k (East Wales)
Sunday 12 May: Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k (East Wales)
Sunday 21 July: Helena Tipping Wrexham 10k (North Wales)
Sunday 15 September: Admiral Swansea Bay 10k (West Wales)
Sunday 3 November: Richard Burton 10k (West Wales)
Eligibility
Athletes who are registered with Welsh Athletics will be eligible to compete in the series. This includes athletes who are eligible to compete for Wales and athletes who are members of Welsh Clubs.
Scoring
Athletes will be issued points and an athletes top four scores will be combined and scored in the following age-groups; Senior, M35, M45, M55, M65+.
Prize Structure
The following prizes will be issued in the Welsh 10km Road Race Series following the final event on Sunday 3 November;
- 1st £500
- 2nd £300
- 3rd £200
- 4th £100
- 5th £50
Kit prizes will also be issued for the winners of each master’s category.
