Schools Athletics Round Up

We were delighted to be able to launch a Schools Virtual Athletics initiative during National School Sports Week across Wales in partnership with Cardiff Games to allow schools to deliver alternative athletics competition to the hugely popular QuadKids during this challenging time. The competition utilised the virtual SportsHall @ Home platform that has been developed in conjunction with OpenTrack and the other Home Countries and was launched free of charge to all our registered clubs and athletes during June.
There was a fantastic uptake with both primary and secondary schools across all 4 Welsh regions taking part in the 3-week competition which consisted of a Run, Jump and Throw week.

We hope that the teachers organising and the athletes taking part enjoyed this initiative and that it can continue to offer an alternative form of athletics competition.
