National Road Relays
The 12 and 6 stage Road Relays are heading back to Birmingham this weekend, as the best clubs in the UK battle it out to become crowned British Road Relay Champions.
Welsh clubs have a strong pedigree in these championships, with the Swansea Harrier’s men dominating the event in 2017, winning by almost 5 minutes! The men backed up this run a year later, finishing on the podium again, this time in 3rd place behind Highgate Harriers and Tonbridge AC.
There has always been a strong rivalry between Swansea and Cardiff at this event, with many close leg stage battles as they went for gold. This year, although there is no Cardiff team entered, look out for Pontypridd Rodents as they look to make an upset to the previous years results!
