Launch - The New Welsh Athletics International Kit

It is with great delight that we bring to you our new racing kit with our new kit sponsor JOMA. The new Welsh kit comes just in time for the highly anticipated weekend involving the 2021 Loughborough International.
Being able to wear our national colors is one of the goals our athletes aim to achieve. For a Welsh Athlete to be able to represent their country and to be able to wear WALES on their back is an accomplishment of hard work and effort they have put in over the years.
Gema Blanco, Export Director for Joma Sport in Spain said;

Welsh Athletics CEO James Williams had this to say;

It was important to find a supplier who shared our ambition for supporting the sport in Wales, and Joma has certainly done this.
The new kit design looks superb, and I hope that athletes will wear the Welsh vest with pride. I look forward to seeing athletes from across Wales battle it out in the years ahead to earn the right to wear the red vest of Wales.”
Many of our athletes were not able to compete in the year 2020 due to the coronavirus let so many are extremely excited that they will be able to compete in the new international kit this weekend at the LIA international.
Our women’s long jump national record holder Rebecca Chapman had this to say about being able to compete again in the new kit;
“I feel so excited and privileged to be given the opportunity to pull on the Welsh athletics vest and represent Wales again. Even more so having been lucky enough to see and try on the kit that exceeded all expectations, and is designed with the best needs of the athlete in mind. This is my first time representing Wales since the Commonwealth Games in 2018. I'm so looking forward to making a return to international competition and to get to wear the new kit is an added bonus.”
And one of our rising stars Remi Adebiyi who had a sneak peek of the new kit had this to add;
“I really enjoyed being part of the photoshoot and really like the fit and design of this new Joma kit, I’m looking forward to wearing it during training sessions and competitions.”
