Jenny Nesbitt & Jake Heyward Shine Indoors

There was great news for Jenny Nesbitt in Boston this weekend where she ran 5000m in 15:19.22 - well inside the Welsh Commonwealth Games standard of 15:30 which she has been so close to breaking so many times in the last 12 months. It beats her own Welsh indoor 3000m record and is also the third best by a Brit indoors, of all time.
Oregon based Olympian, Jake Heyward, ran another stellar 3000m race in Washington, clocking 7:48.83 to take Ian Hamer's Welsh indoor 3000m record. More to follow.
Back in the UK at the Podium Pul5k there were great performances by a large contingent of Welsh Athletes including a promising return to racing for Charlotte Arter who finished second in 15.56, just ahead of fellow Cardiff Athletics athlete Cari Hughes (15.57). Mike Ward was the first of the Welsh athletes in the men's field continuing his good form from last weeks BUCS XC finish , he came in second in 13.54.
