Event Details

The 119th Welsh Cross Country Championships returns to the Penlan Arena in Brecon on Saturday 17th February. An 11-race programme will start with Primary School Races, held jointly with the Urdd Gobaith Cymru.

Course Map

Competitors need to be close to the start at least 10 minutes before the start of their race. The Start Co-ordinator will sound a whistle at two minutes to the start when competitors should make their way onto the start line.

Races will use an undulating and winding course, adjacent to the Athletics track. It is a competitor’s responsibility to walk the course. The course can be walked at any time but please do not impede on the course during a race.

Please note that the placement of a new fence line at the venue has meant that a slight change to the course was necessary. The change is found on the bank and only affects the large lap.

A barcode timing system will be in use and will replace the disc system used at previous editions of these championships.
