Eight Welsh athletes selected for Team GB & NI for the World Para Athletics Championships in Delhi

UK Athletics have announced the Novuna Great Britain and Northern Ireland (GB & NI) team for the World Para Athletics Championships in Delhi, India, between 26 September and 5 October.
The athletes announced today will join those seven athletes selected earlier this year in June to make a full team of 37 for the upcoming Championships. 8 of the team selected are Welsh athletes. Congratulations to Hollie Arnold (Scott Knighton, Blackheath & Bromley), Olivia Breen (Aston Moore, City of Portsmouth), Bree Cronin (Josh Clark, Cardiff), Sabrina Fortune (Ryan Spencer-Jones, Deeside), Funmi Oduwaiye (Josh Clark, DSW Para Academy), Aled Davies (Cardiff), Michael Jenkins (Ryan Spencer-Jones, Swansea), and Harrison Walsh (Ryan Spencer-Jones, Swansea).
The performance aims are for athletes to medal at these championships and to support the athletes' potential for the LA 2028 Paralympic Games.
The Welsh athletes selected to compete for the Novuna Great Britain & Northern Ireland team for the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, India, between 26 September and 5 October are:
Women
Hollie Arnold (Scott Knighton, Blackheath & Bromley) – F46 Javelin
Olivia Breen (Aston Moore, City of Portsmouth) – T38 Long Jump,100m and Universal Relay
Bree Cronin (Josh Clark, Cardiff) – F44 Discus*
Sabrina Fortune (Ryan Spencer-Jones, Deeside) – F20 Shot Put
Funmi Oduwaiye (Josh Clark, DSW Para Academy) – F44 Shot Put and F44 Discus
Men
Aled Davies (Cardiff) – F63 Shot Put
Michael Jenkins (Ryan Spencer-Jones, Swansea) – F38 Shot Put
Harrison Walsh (Ryan Spencer-Jones, Swansea) – F44 Discus
*Those marked will be making their senior international debuts
