6 Welsh Athletes Selected for GB & NI Squad For The European U18 Championships

A team of 6 Welsh athletes have been selected to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland at next month’s (18-21 July) European Athletics U18 Championships in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. The team includes Iwan Thomas (Neil Thomas, Carmarthen) who leads the European 2024 rankings in the 2000m steeplechase after his 5:49.17 clocking earlier this year.
Welsh athletes selected for the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team for the European U18 Championships:
Women
Nell Desir (Lisa Waddon, Cardiff Archers) - 100m & Mixed Relay
Men
Aron Tugwell (Lisa Waddon, Cardiff Archers) - 200m
Iwan Thomas (Neil Thomas, Carmarthen) - 2000m Steeplechase
Owen Garrett (Paul Filler, Yate) - Discus Throw
Lewie Jones (Richard Jones, Swansea) - Javelin
Harry Bradley (Darryn McAtee, Newport Harriers) - Mixed Relay
